MAIN CANAL LINING PROJECT

OID completed a canal lining project in March 2021 to repair a damaged canal bottom. District staff partnered with North Unit Irrigation District to apply over 300 feet of lining to a leaky portion of the Ochoco Main Canal. This repair successfully stopped an estimated 1 -2 cfs of seepage; conserving approximately 260 acre feet (88 million gallons) of water in 2021.
