Patrol Duty Hours

Ditch Riders patrol the distribution system and help manage water delivery to users. Ditch Riders are required to be on call 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, during the irrigation season. They are entitled to regular hours for personal activities. It is requested that they not be contacted after 5 p.m. or before 6:30 a.m. unless there is an emergency. Please place all water orders through the OID office.

What We Do

Provide water for approximately 20,062 acres

Serve 898 irrigators

Manage and maintain more than 122 miles of canals and laterals and 8 pumping plants

Manage operation of Ochoco and Prineville Reservoirs
