PRINEVILLE RESERVOIR HITS HISTORIC LOWS

As of September 8, Prineville Reservoir is at 12% capacity, the lowest elevation ever recorded since its construction. The amount of water flowing into the Crooked River from Prineville Reservoir typically hovers at or near fifty cubic feet per second (cfs). The Bureau of Reclamation is predicting the flows to drop to ten cfs.

Prineville Reservoir start date will be April 25, 2022

Allocation is set at .50 acre feet with a rate of .70 cfs per 100 acres.

The start date and allocation for Ochoco Reservoir will be discussed at the next regular monthly board meeting at OID’s office on April 18, 2022, at 7:00 am.
